There’s a lot of that going around lately. There are many places where becoming ill can be an especially troublesome occurrence. Fortunately, Northeast Florida isn’t one of them. In fact, our region is practically bursting with health care facilities and physicians on par or better than any metro area in the Southeast.
Our city’s abundance of medical professionals can create something of a dilemma for residents. Knowing where to go is made more difficult when there are numerous options from which to choose. Or course, there is no simple, one-size fits all answers to questions relating to health care. We’re all unique individuals, after all. And health care is an individual subject where personal preferences, past experiences and family experiences come into play when determining how and why we wind up in a hospital or physician’s office.
In an effort to help alleviate some of the angst experienced by Northeast Floridians seeking medical assistance, Jacksonville Magazine has partnered with national survey firm Top Doctors to compile a list of area physicians rated best by their peers. The list and the accompanying profiles in no way represent a complete accounting of all the exemplary doctors practicing in our region, the annual Top Doctors feature can be considered a good starting point, a hand reference for you to begin your next search for a medical professional in whom you would trust to care for your family, friends and loved ones.
