The second annual Best Restaurants Bash! was held on January 26, 2017 at the Jessie Ball duPont Center. Only those eateries mentioned in the January issue were invited to participate, making this the premier food tasting of the year. With over two dozen of the best food and event vendors covering the two-story space, the venue was filled to the brim with fans, foodies and newbies alike. The Bearded Pig featured a Frito Pie--brisket, pork, beans and cheese sauce all on top of corn chips--which was a hit with guests. Other dishes included meatball sliders from IL DESCO, sushi burritos from Kazu, mini tacos from TacoLu and shrimp and grits from Metro Diner.
Participating vendors included: Azurea at One Ocean, The Bearded Pig, Biscottis, Bistro Aix, IL Desco, Ovinte, Black Sheep, Blue Bamboo, Cooper's Hawk, Empire City Gastropub, Five Points Tavern, Flying Iguana, Gilberts Social, HOBNOB, Kazu, Metro Diner, Mojo No. 4, Moxie, Slider's Seafood Grille, South Kitchen & Spirits, St. Augustine Distillery, Sweet by Holly and TacoLu. Event vendors like Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife and GastroFest also participated in the event.
