Writer/Intern Queries

Writing Opportunities

Jacksonville Magazine welcomes pitches from freelance writers and ideas for articles from readers. Please send suggestions and/or queries to Joseph White, Publisher/Editor, Jacksonville Magazine, 1261 King St., Jacksonville, FL 32204 or by e-mail to joe@jacksonvillemag.com. Please do not send stories with photographs or other artwork that cannot be replaced. And do not send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. We will contact you if and when we find a place for your story.

Internships

Jacksonville Magazine does offer unpaid internships for college students. Most interns work approximately 18 hours per week for a period of 8 to 12 weeks. The total number of hours varies and is usually dependent upon the requirements of the college or university, as most of our interns receive college credit for their time served. If you are interested in interning, please submit a resume and cover letter. Please outline in the letter your career goals and reasons for interning with Jacksonville Magazine. In addition, include a desired start and end date for your internship, as well as an approximate weekly schedule you believe can be maintained through the semester. Students interested in writing, graphic design and photography internships, please send resume and letter to Natalie Wearstler, Managing Editor, Jacksonville Magazine, 1261 King St., Jacksonville, FL 32204 or by e-mail to natalie@jacksonvillemag.com.

Interns interested working with our sales, marketing and special events team should contact Sales Manager Anna Marie Burke at annamarie@jacksonvillemag.com
