Kelly Best, MD, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville, is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and offers a wide variety of care for women in the Jacksonville area. Dr. Best’s clinical practice ranges from pregnancy, delivery and well-woman care to cancer screening for the cervix, uterus and breast. She also handles conservative treatments for fibroids, bleeding and pelvic floor dysfunction. For patients interested in hormone replacement, long-term contraceptives or minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Best also devotes clinical time to these areas. She received her medical training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania & Hahnemann University, and was chief administrative resident at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania before coming to UF in 2005. Dr. Best is acutely interested in patient-physician interactions and uses teachable moments to empower patients to make sound choices about their health.
