Beaches Fine Art Series
Since 1972 the grassroots arts organization has provided Jacksonville residents with worls class music and dance in eight free performances annually. Pianist Soheil Nasseri, Step Afika! and organist Paul Jacobs highlight the concert season

Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
Riverside's Cummer Museum lies on three acres of beautiful gardens and contains over five thousand pieces of art and antiquities from as far back as 2100 B.C. The Museum also has an award-winning education center and a small cafe serving coffee and snacks. www.cummer.org
Artist Series
Now in its forty-fourth season, the Artist Series brings both touring shows and concerts to the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts and the Nathan Wilson Center. This years run includes a wide range of critically-acclaimed Broadway shows, operas, ballets and new plays like the Wizard of Oz, Momma Mia! and Chicago. www.artistseries.fccj.org
Limelight Theatre
St. Augustine's Limelight Theatre is the city's only year-round live stage theatre and showcases a wide variety of comedies, dramas and musicals. 2009-20010 shows include Death of a Salesman, Barefoot in the Park and The Dixie Swim Club. www.limelight-theatre.org
Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville
A gem of downtown Jacksonville since 2003, MOCA plays host to some of the art world's most interesting installations and has a permanent collection that rivals a few of the world's more well-known museums. In addition to contemporary art, MOCA has an in-house movie theatre, in which they play foreign films and documentaries, and a cafe that serves some of the best food in town. www.mocajacksonville.org
Museum of Science & History
Long a favorite of both children and adults alike, the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) houses a planetarium, animal exhibits and an indoor play area for children 5 and younger. www.themosh.org
Players by the Sea
Located in a hard-to-miss purple building off of Beach Boulevard, Players by the Sea is one of Jacksonville Beach's oldest theaters. The current season features Eugene O'Neil's A Moon for the Misbegotten and Seasons Spice by Robyn Neal. www.playersbythesea.org
Riverside Fine Arts Association
The Riverside Fine Arts Association's sixteenth season is full of surprises. acts such as The Denver Brass, Harlem String Quartet and organist Felix Hall, RFAA has something to delight every musical taste. www.riversidefinearts.org
Theatre Jacksonville
Theatre Jacksonville, located in the San Marco area, is a volunteer-based community theatre with wishes to include and develop diversity in all areas of business-from donors to audience members. Since 1919, the theatre has offered varied works, including both Shakespearean comedies and cabaret concerts. www.theatrejax.com
