This year, Jax Mag introduces a new feature to our website: Pet of the Week. We are seeking nominations from our many pet-loving readers. To nominate your favorite furry friend (or feathered, scaly, whatever) send us an email at Mail@jacksonvillemag.com. Use the sample posted here as your guide to what we’re looking for. And please include a photo. A few times each month we’ll select a pet to be featured on the website and Facebook. And one lucky pet each month will get a spot in an upcoming edition of Jacksonville Magazine. Without further ado, we present our latest Pet of the Week…

Breed: multi-cultural cat from the pound

Weight: 12 pounds
Favorite Toy: kitty litter. I enjoy kicking it to the ceiling
Favorite Food: sashimi. White tuna with a touch of ginger.
Best Tricks: jumping out from under the sofa and karate chopping my prey.
Favorite activities: karate chopping my prey.
What gets me more treats and praise: when I fake an injury I get treated like a royal patient. The falling off the coach and not landing on my feet works every time.
Favorite place to go in Jax: I often escape and go over to the neighbor’s house. They have excellent sashimi over there.
My owner loves me because: I’m loyal, don’t snore, and I share the bed(unlike all of my owner’s ex- boyfriends)
