There are 13 board certified cardiovascular specialists and staff members pride themselves inproviding the utmost in patient care. Always seeking the most current and innovative solutions to treatment options, First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI) has become a trusted institute for patients and physicians alike seeking cutting edge cardiovascular care on the First Coast, as well as a resource for physicians across Northeast Florida.
The success of the practice can be directly connected to founding physician Majdi Ashchi’s personal motto, “Knowledge is not enough; you must apply it. Willingness is not enough; you must do it.” One of the reasons for FCCI’s success in the cardiovascular medicine community is the desire to take action at the first recognition of a problem that needs to be solved. “Care of the patient is to care for the patient,” Dr. Khatib says.
The doctors at FCCI aim to provide education for patients on heart and vascular conditions and diseases, the services and treatment options available, and support groups and organizations for those suffering from similar conditions.
FCCI is a leader in cutting edge technology. Their physicians have been first in the First Coast to perform many of the innovative endovascular and coronary procedures. FCCI recognizes sleep disorders as part and parcel to holistic approach to the care of the patient. The sleep disorder lab and physician render compassionate care to their patients.
Patient care is the primary concern at FCCI, and each staff member strives to make the patient experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible.
