Engine 15 Brewing Co. of Jacksonville Beach will have three unique brews on tap during the second half of October to celebrate the hop harvest season. Engine 15 contracted with Hopunion to receive “wet” hops, as opposed to dry, processed hops, to brew the special beers. Fresh hops are only available one day a year and were harvested Sept. 1. and flown overnight. The three batches of beer made by brewmaster Luciano Scremin are specifically designed to accentuate and celebrate the character and flavor of the freshly picked hops.
Engine 15 Brewing Co. is also expanding its brewing facilities to keep up with the high demand for its beers. The expansion includes 50 added seats to the location and will increase the total beer selection to 60 different drafts.
