Drs. Ankit Desai and Michael Fallucco are board certified plastic surgeons dedicated to providing personalized care for their patients. Dr. Desai and Dr. Fallucco perform cosmetic surgery procedures including breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, facial rejuvenation, fat transfer, body contouring, breast reconstruction, and surgical treatment of migraine headache pain.
Highlights over the last year at Desai Plastic Surgery include performing over 100 successful Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) flap for breast cancer reconstruction and being the only center in the Southeast United States to enroll patients in a new needle free tissue expander device used in breast reconstruction.
Drs. Desai and Fallucco’s philosophy is to analyze every patient’s desires, body type and goals to create a customized surgical plan to ensure success and satisfaction.
Dr. Ankit Desai is a board certified plastic surgeon and a Jacksonville native. After graduating from The Bolles School, he began his undergraduate career at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University studying biomedical engineering. He was at Johns Hopkins until he was accepted in the prominent and highly selective Junior Honors Medical Program, an accelerated medical school program at the University of Florida. He received his M.D. from the University of Florida, where he served as class president for all four years, a testament to his leadership and affability. Dr. Desai went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University after which he completed further training in cosmetic surgery and served as clinical faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Desai has now returned home to bring state-of-the-art plastic surgery, including fat transfer buttocks augmentation and facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, labiaplasty, and body contouring to Jacksonville. By bringing cutting-edge techniques to Northeast Florida, he hopes to improve the quality of results for men and women alike. He volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen North Florida affiliate and is a member of a number of local and national societies.
Dr. Michael Fallucco grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and received his B.A. and M.D. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He was then accepted into a highly competitive plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University. While in training, Dr. Fallucco was recognized for both his clinical and research endeavors and has presented research in plastic surgery at both national and international conferences.
Dr. Fallucco has published his research in numerous journals and was one of the few nominees for “The Caring Physician Award” at St. Louis University in recognition of his outstanding dedication to patients and families.
Dr. Fallucco began his plastic surgery practice in St. Louis with a unique focus on surgery of the peripheral nerve to reduce pain. He is the only physician in Jacksonville offering surgical applications to decrease migraine headache pain, relieve painful diabetic neuropathy and restore sensation and help with chronic post-traumatic joint pain. Dr. Fallucco’s other clinical interests include minimally invasive facial rejuvenation by transferring regenerative cells from one’s own body as well as other cosmetic procedures.
