Jacksonville Magazine’s 2012 Charitable Events Registry
A compilation that highlights nearly 100 local events devoted to raising money for good causes. Behind every listing, there are dozens of people and hundreds of hours focused on making our city and region a better place to live.
Keeping our readers in touch with the city’s non-profit community is the primary motivation for the creation of this year’s Charitable Events Registry. For two weeks our staff contacted dozens of local groups and requested details about their upcoming fundraisers—everything from black-tie galas, wine tastings, walks and more. Posted here are the fruit of all that labor, a calendar-order listing of a variety of upcoming events designed to raise awareness and money for many worthy local causes.
We’ll be adding to the calendar as we learn of new events, so please come back and see what’s been added in the coming months. After all, it takes more than pretty flowers, food, bars, a band and dance floor to make a successful fundraiser. It takes you, too. Non-profits wishing to have events added to the calendar may do so by sending a press release to mail@jacksonvillemag.com
