Great Wedding Giveaway
Registration for Jacksonville Magazine’s fourth annual Great Wedding Giveaway has officially closed. Since 2009, three lucky couples have won dream packages that include services provided by the city’s leading wedding and event planning professionals. In fact, our 2011 winning couple Katherine and Kevin tied the knot in June with a ceremony and reception overlooking the ocean at the beautiful Serenata Beach Club. This once-in-a-lifetime prize package has become the most-talked about contest in all of Northeast Florida.
The second step in the selection process was the Nearlywed Game, a live game show that took place January 12, 2012, at River City Brewing Co. Modeled after the 1970s game show, the winner of the game, wins the $40,000 grand prize.
Exciting News: Through a partnership with WJXT-TV 4, the 2012 Great Wedding Giveaway will be broadcast across Northeast Florida. In addition to featuring the springtime wedding on air (the morning of May 14), the entire process—from announcing the opening of the registration process to selecting the semi-finalists to helping host this year’s Nearlywed Game – will be promoted and covered by the hometown TV station.
