The Brunswick Golden Isles Airport in Brunswick, GA will open its gates at 5:30 PM Friday, March 24-26, for the Wings Over Golden Isles Airshow featuring an F-35C Lightning II aircraft. The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team will also make an appearance during the show. The F-22 Raptor will see most of the action during its aerial demonstrations, while the F-35 Lighting II will only be on the ground for display. This is the only airshow in the Southeast to feature both fifth generation U.S. fighter aircrafts, incorporated with new levels of performance, stealth profiles, and all-digital flight systems.
Other featured military aircrafts include T-38 Talon, F-18 Hornet, T-6 Texan, P-3 Orion, C-17 Globemaster, C-130 Hercules and more. Those interested in taking a flight have the option of flying in a Vietnam-era UH-1 Huey, or AF-1F Cobra Helicopter. Cost for flights range from $70-$525.
Immediately after the airshow, Southern rock band .38 Special will perform. Bounce houses, slides and more are available for children with the purchase of a full-day kids’ zone pass.
General admission tickets vary each day. Friday, tickets will be $15 for all ages, with free admission for children five years or younger. Saturday and Sunday, tickets for adults (18+) will cost $25, youth tickets (6-17) are $20, and military personnel tickets are $20.
