On Thursday, March 30, the Jessie Ball DuPont Center hosts a special screening of the award winning documentary film What Tomorrow Brings. This documentary film by Beth Murphy, part of a report by the GroundTruth Project, tells the story of the first girls' school in Deh'Subz, a small Afghan village on the outskirts of Kabul Province.
"The feeling it gave me to my core was the feeling of hope," says Murphy. "Hope for girls, for women, for Afghanistan, for our world community, for the future." As a pioneer for fair and equal education in Afghanistan, school founder Razia Jan established the school in 2009, and proudly produced its first graduating class in 2015.
