Jacksonville-based specialty boutique Rethreaded kicked off the month with Women Empowering Women—a benefit event hosted at the store's retail space Downtown. The organization helps women affected by the sex-trade by providing employment and a platform for self-expression, with all merchandise uniquely crafted by survivors. Attendees enjoyed wine and hor d'oeuvres while browsing inventory featuring scarves, blankets, handbags and journals. A holiday ornament making portion of the night entertained guests, while Jacksonville sports radio 1010 XL 92.5FM broadcast the women's program Helmets and Heels live from the event. Speaking of heels, our Jacksonville Magazine Shoe Cam captured quite a few throughout the evening.
