The Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens recently announced the release of their new publication, The Chef’s Canvas, a cookbook composed of recipes inspired by art featured in the museum.
The book features recipes that were created by some of the top chef's in Northeast Florida from restaurants like 13 Gypsies, Michael's Tasting Room, Restaurant Medure, and The Potter's House Soul Food Bistro. Readers can expect to see dishes like Country Sausage- Corn Bread Stuffing and Herb Grilled Quail, which were created by Chef Jamey Evoniuk, who was inspired by the Cummer Oak trees surrounding the Cummer café.
The museum will celebrate with a party and tasting event Wednesday, March 16, 6 PM-9 PM. Dishes from more than 25 recipes featured in the cookbook will be prepared by some of the top chefs in Jacksonville and will be available for tasting at the event. The book will be available for purchase at the event, and can be autographed by the chefs during the tasting.
