LBA held its annual women's networking event, this year called Wine, Women and a Post-It Note, on February 25 at 927 Events in Downtown Jacksonville. The event once again put a spotlight on a nonprofit organization whose mission focuses on women, with this year's organization being the Jacksonville Women's Business Center (JWBC). Guests were asked to write their best business or personal advice to other business women on a brightly colored Post-It Note, which were then displayed on a glass wall during the event.
Pat Blanchard, Executive Director of the JWBC, spoke to the group about the services the Center provides, while Dana Stallings, Owner of Kilwin's Chocolates, gave personal testimony to the success she has enjoyed as a result of participating in all of the JWBC's programs for women business owners. The event was held at 927 Events, locally owned and operated by Chef Chriss Brown who presented a delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres and gourmet coffee bar.
