On Jan. 23, Hemming Park hosted 150 Years of Hemming, celebrating the anniversary of the day that the city of Jacksonville bought the parcel of land that would become Hemming Park from the Hart family for $10. The event hosted music, acrobats, live painting, historic photos and trivia contest, kids activities, food truck fare and an "ostrich" cart race/food drive to benefit Clara White Mission. We set up our step-and-repeat screens inside City Hall, where members of Friends of Hemming Park enjoyed a social with drinks, cupcakes and updates on the future of the park from CEO Vince Cavin. Seen: Charlie Patton from The Florida Times-Union, Joe White with Jacksonville Magazine, Will Henley with EU Jacksonville and Max Marbut from Financial News & Daily Record.
