In early 2016, Jacksonville Magazine and TPC Sawgrass host the sixth annual Great Chefs of Jacksonville. The fundraiser features two teams of four chefs battling plate-vs-plate in a four-course meal, with the goal of hoisting the grand crystal Great Chefs trophy. The event is set for March 3 inside the gorgeous TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse.
Great Chefs 2016's Team Beaches completed with the addition of TPC Chef Marvyn Mizell. Mizell emerged the winner of the second round of competition which took place on November 10 in a TPC members-only affair at the Ponte Vedra clubhouse.
Team Beaches is now complete: Chef Mizell, representing TPC Sawgrass, Chef Edwin Baltzley of Palm Valley Fish Camp, Chef Trey Hartinger of Marker 32 and Chef Josh Agan of Flying Iguana Taqueria & Tequilla Bar.
And Team City: Chef Scotty Schwartz of Bullbriar, Chef Tom Gray of Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails, Taverna's Chef Sam Efron and Chef Waylon Rivers of Black Sheep.
Great Chefs is open to all and tickets will go on sale in early January. Only 150 seats will be offered and the event always sells out. Stay tuned to our website for more announcements!
