Empty Bowls 2014Nov. 17: Empty Bowls Luncheon
Noon | Prime Osborn Convention Center | $10-$30

Local celebrities serve attendees a simple meal of bread and soup in this fundraising event benefiting food distribution in Jacksonville. Upon arriving, each attendee receives a bowl for the meal that has been handcrafted by students from local schools.

Nov. 21: River Garden Gala
7 PM | Sawgrass Marriott Resort | $175+

The 23rd annual fundraiser for River Garden Hebrew Home and Wolfson Health and Aging Center is a "Meet Me in Havana"-themed gala which features cocktails, dancing, dinner and an auction. Black tie is encouraged.

Nov. 29: Deck the Chairs
Seawalk Pavilion, Jacksonville Beach

The official lighting ceremony of this annual illuminated sculptural exhibit using the iconic red chairs of the American Red Cross Life Saving Corps benefits the Jacksonville Beach Life Saving Corps. The exhibit of festively-decorated chairs will be on display throughout the month of December.

The 13th annual fundraiser for the Jacksonville Historical Society returns for three weeks this year. Guests wander the aisles and admire gingerbread creations of all kinds.

Dec. 4-6: Art & Antiques Show
Prime Osborn Convention Center

This show features nationally acclaimed lecturers and 45 internationally recognized art and antiques dealers. The event celebrates the rich culture of Spain while benefiting pediatric surgical services and technologies at Wolfson Children's Hospital, along with its partner Nemours Children's Clinic.
