Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant opened at the St. Johns Town Center on October 26, bringing with it 200 jobs, occupancy for 335 guests, three private banquet rooms and of course, bottles and bottles of wine.
Cooper's Hawk features a modern, casual dining experience and a menu developed with its own label of wines in mind. Dishes on the menu such as soy ginger salmon, chicken giardiniera, Asian pork belly tostadas and Mexican drunken shrimp are marked with bin numbers listed next to each item, guiding guests to their selection’s wine match.
“We are thrilled to open our first restaurant in Jacksonville and become part of the city’s vibrant community,” says Tim McEnery, founder and CEO. “Cooper’s Hawk brings an exciting new concept to the area – contributing to an already-fantastic dining scene. We’re looking forward to getting to know each of our guests and providing a place where the community can gather to enjoy an unforgettable dining experience coupled with our award-winning wines.”
The restaurant also features one of the country’s largest wine of the month clubs, offering subscribers monthly wines, special discounts, invitations to events, rewards, and annual domestic and international wine trips. Cooper’s Hawk has received more than 300 wine awards from various local, national and international wine competitions, including ten awards from the Indy International Wine Competition, and it recently received a 99-point score at the Critics International Wine Competition for its Lux Pinot Noir.
