The Elbow, Downtown Jacksonville’s official entertainment district, has launched a new YouTube series, The Alley Sessions. Each episode highlights the dynamic cultural diversity in Jacksonville’s thriving music scene. The series was produced by The Elbow in association with Kumar Pictures and Stay Tuned Studios, in conjunction with Downtown Vision, Inc. and the Downtown Investment Authority.
“Our city has a rich music history and live music today remains the very heart and soul of The Elbow,” said Katherine Hardwick, marketing director, Downtown Vision, Inc. “The Alley Sessions is a way to inspire the community, support our local artists and entrepreneurs, and show everyone the amazing things that are happening in Downtown Jacksonville. It’s a win-win one hundred times over.”
Filmed in what many are calling "Elbow Alley," the series is hosted by The Elbow co-founder Trey Hebron. Each episode will feature an exclusive interview and live performance from one of the city’s most talented musical acts.
In the first episode, Hebron is joined by D.A.R.Y.L. and DJ Northstar, better known as local hip-hop duo ND 20/20. Following a discussion about hip-hop culture and the unique circumstances of underground music in Jacksonville, ND 20/20 give a special performance of their tune “Long Time No Cash.”
