On Saturday, June 27, the purple carpet was rolled out for the second annual Ladies' Day Off event. Held at the Queen's Harbor Yacht and Country Club, the event was a fun-filled day of pampering, relaxation and networking for the hard working women of Jacksonville. Attendees were treated to complimentary manicures, massages, and makeup and hair tutorials from Jacksonville's Aveda Institute. The ladies also had the opportunity to sample and shop products and services from local businesses that cater to health, beauty and fashion. Guests sipped on ANEW wine and were served delicious hors d’oevres and desserts, our favorite being the chocolate covered strawberries created by Jacksonville's own Kreasions Ultd. Raffle giveaways throughout the day benefited the Susan G. Komen North Florida Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from Ladies' Day Off went to the foundation and their fight against breast cancer. Although the ladies of Jacksonville had the day off, the Jacksonville Magazine Tom Bush MINI Shoe Cam was hard at work capturing the day's footwear. We must say, the purple carpet complimented all of the fabulous shoes quite nicely.
