More than 1,000 attendees came out to support 60 same-sex couples getting married at Hemming Park on January 10. When Florida's same-sex marriage ban ended on January 6, couples who applied for their marriage licenses had to wait the normal three-day period before actually tying the knot—meaning January 10 was the first day it could legally be done. Photographers, notaries and officiants offered their services free of charge, Glenn Certain donated a floral arrangement for the center stage, Candy Apple Cafe and food trucks brought the eats. Afterwards, bouquets were thrown and the dance party took over. The Shoe Cam was there, capturing some of the newlyweds' and supporters' finest wedding footwear. Congratulations to all the happy couples!
