Let's talk beauty. I am a total beauty product junkie and am constantly changing my skincare routine. I do have some standbys (Clarisonic skin brush, Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Exfoliating treatment) but when it comes to moisturizer, I'm always on a quest to find the perfect product. I recently tried out a few new products by M-61, the new skincare line by Marla Malcolm Beck (the CEO of Bluemercury) and have added them to my daily routine. Here's the down-low.
- JetGlow, which gets its name from the quick delivery of ingredients to the skin for instant results, is available in two formulations. The cream form contains 5.7% glycolic acid and is ideal for dry/mature skin types, while the slightly more potent serum form contains 5.9% glycolic acid and is great for normal to oily skin types who may prefer a lighter product. (Note: these two products should not be used together.) Just like the popular M-61 Power Glow Peels, both iterations work to smooth the appearance of wrinkles for increased clarity, tone, and radiance.
- Marla draws inspiration from her vegan diet, utilizing potent natural ingredients for their unique properties, including moisturizing tamarind, antioxidant-rich gogi berry, exfoliating papaya, and anti-inflammatory red seaweed. This innovative blend of ingredients offer efficient results in their purest form, which all beauty enthusiasts can get behind.
- After months in development in the M-61 labs, these products are Marla's first venture into the anti wrinkle category. Hydraboost Cream contains Vitamin B5, Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to plum and replenish, while JetGlow contains a proprietary anti-aging blend of quadruple-action peptides and glycolic acid to relax fine lines and wrinkles, while improving the skin's texture.
- Hydraboost Cream is the newest addition to the best selling Hydraboost Moisturizer and Hydraboost Eye. The peptide-packed cream includes nourishing tamarind and aloe, as well as white mulberry – one of the oldest ingredients used in natural medicine for centuries. This miracle fruit is not only rich in Vitamin A, Potassium, Phosphorus and Calcium but it also contains the highest levels of antioxidants of any berry, leaving skin glowing from the inside out.
Clearly, Beck knows her stuff. She's the CEO of a multi-million beauty company that sells products from big names like La Mer, Bobbi Brown and Darphin, so I imagine she did a lot of research before formulating her own line. And she is incredibly hands-on. She personally tests and curates all product sold in Bluemercury as well as researches and creates all product in the M-61 line. I think her products can easily go head-to-head with any of the bigger names and, starting next month, they'll be available at the St. Johns Town Center store!
