Pet of the Month

Does your pet have what it takes to be Jax Mag's Pet of the Month? We are seeking nominations from our many pet-loving readers. To nominate your favorite furry friend (or feathered, scaly, whatever), fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Please include at least one photo. Once each month we’ll select a pet to be featured on the website and Facebook. In addition, that lucky pet will get a spot in an upcoming edition of Jacksonville Magazine. And we'll treat the owner to a free one-year subscription to Jax Mag!

Without further ado, we present our latest Pet of the Month…

5.16Jacksonville Magazine's Pet of the Month for May is Diggity, a nine-year-old Jack Russell. Diggity is an agility dog and has qualified for several United States Dog Agility Association championship trials. She is also trained for nose work—the ability to find and mark the location of various hidden scents planted by her owner. When she isn't training, Diggity loves to eat roast beef and organize squirrels in the back yard. Her owner says that although Diggity has lots of energy, she's very well behaved and is a good listener.

Jacksonville Magazine's Pet of the Month is presented by First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP). The mission of FCNMHP is to end the killing of dogs and cats in shelters in our community, Northeast Florida and the nation.
